  • 1 to 2 tablespoons simple syrup (optional)
  • 1 cup sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh blueberries, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Add the watermelon, blueberries, lime juice, and simple syrup to a blender or cocktail shaker.
  2. Blend until smooth, or muddle gently if using a shaker.
  3. Fill two serving glasses with ice.
  4. Pour the fruit mixture evenly into the glasses.
  5. Top each glass with sparkling water.
  6. Stir gently to combine.
  7. Garnish with fresh blueberries, a watermelon wedge, a lime wheel, and mint if desired.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe watermelon for the sweetest flavor.
Frozen blueberries work well if fresh berries aren't available.
Taste the fruit mixture before adding extra sweetener.
