  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • ½ English cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons simple syrup (optional)
  • 1 cup sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh blueberries, for garnish
  • Thin cucumber slices, for garnish
  • Lime wheel, for garnish
  • Fresh mint sprig (optional)

Method
 

  1. Add the blueberries, cucumber slices, lime juice, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Gently muddle until the blueberries release their juices and the cucumber becomes fragrant.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice.
  4. Shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds.
  5. Strain into two ice-filled serving glasses if desired.
  6. Top each glass with sparkling water.
  7. Stir gently to combine.
  8. Garnish with fresh blueberries, cucumber slices, a lime wheel, and a mint sprig if desired.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

English cucumbers provide the mildest flavor and don't require peeling.
